If you’re on the search for American made products, kitchen countertops can be a bit confusing. It seems like granite should be harvested in America, after all, Half-Dome in Yosemite is the largest solid granite rock in the world.
Think again, my patriotic pal. Chances are the granite countertop you cherish is from China or Brazil. Quartz (Caesarstone, Silestone) could be harvested here in good old Arkansas, but not always. Best to check.
There is a good chance that maple butcher block comes from the USA, and while you’re checking pass me the maple syrup. And limestone probably, but if in doubt, ask.
